In honor of Cinco de Mayo, we’re offering an awesome little deal in our shop: buy a dozen Spicy Mexican Snickerdoodles and upgrade to a baker’s dozen! We’ll give you that extra cookie for free. Spicy cookies pair well with whatever your taste for partying, so hit it up while it lasts!*
We’ve also decided to share a simple, effective vegan snack recipe. It’s a guiltless, healthy snack that’s fit for a discerning vegan’s taste for pain (the good kind).
Vegan Spicy Kale Chips

- 1 Bunch Curly Kale, washed with middle rib removed and left in larger pieces (Dinosaur Kale works best here because of its firm texture)
- 1 Cup Raw Cashews, soaked overnight and drained
- 1 Roasted Yellow Pepper
- 1 Roasted Jalapeño Pepper
- 1 Tablespoon Nutritional Yeast
- 1 Lemon, juiced
- 1 Tsp Sea Salt
Blend cashews, peppers, yeast and lemon in a blender. With your hands coat the kale with the blended mixture. Now place the kale in a dehydrator following your dehydrators instructions. Typically can take up to overnight to dehydrate and get the chip like texture you desire.
So there you have it. Spicy kale to fuel the fire behind your weekend rager. Take photos of your snack and send them to us on Twitter (@omnomnominc). We’ll repost them for all of our friends to see!
Remember to party responsibly.
*Deal lasts May 4 through 6, so get on it!
